Background and Therapeutic Approach:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology. With over a decade of clinical experience, I support individuals and families through life’s challenges.
My work includes outpatient therapy for adults, where I collaborate with individuals to navigate a wide range of life experiences, from managing stress and coping with anxiety or depression to working through significant life transitions and changes in relationships. In our work together, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable exploring both challenges and strengths. My approach emphasizes understanding your unique perspective, fostering greater self-awareness, and identifying strategies that promote resilience and growth, all while ensuring you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the process.
I work with adolescents by offering guidance as they navigate the complex challenges of developing a strong sense of self, managing school pressures, and learning healthy ways to regulate emotions. Adolescence can be a time of both growth and uncertainty, and my goal is to provide a steady, supportive presence during this important stage of life. I strive to create a safe and trusting environment where teens feel understood, valued, and respected—an environment that allows them to explore their experiences openly and build skills that will support them both now and in the future.
In addition, I specialize in family systems and parent coaching, working closely with parents to better understand the unique needs of their children and the dynamics within their household. My focus is on helping parents strengthen their connection with their children, develop practical and effective strategies for navigating challenges, and create a home environment that feels supportive, nurturing, and balanced. Through this work, families can begin to shift patterns, improve communication, and build healthier, more meaningful relationships with one another.
My approach integrates a range of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to provide strategies that are both effective and adaptable to your unique needs. In addition, I hold certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), which allows me to weave brain-based insights into therapy in a way that feels practical, accessible, and relevant. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where your voice and lived experiences guide the direction of our work together. By combining proven approaches with a deep respect for your individual story, my goal is to create a supportive and empowering space where growth and change can unfold at your pace.
I recognize the courage it takes to step into therapy, and I believe deeply in the resilience each person brings to their journey. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to explore, heal, and grow. It is a privilege to walk alongside you with encouragement and compassion as we work together toward growth, healing, and a stronger sense of connection.
Next Steps!
When you reach out, I’ll follow up to schedule a brief phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what brings you to counseling, answer questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit. In our first session, we’ll explore your needs more fully and begin setting goals for therapy.
I also offer Clinical Supervision for pre-licensed professionals!
